The North Central Representative on the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, and the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Kor Leticia K and other team members visited the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, for an evaluation and monitoring exercise of TETFund-supported projects at the University.
The TETFund officials were warmly received by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of AAAU, Sheikh Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, Ph.D, alongside other members of the University’s management team.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor briefed the visiting team on the development of the University’s permanent site, providing an overview of its development journey, ongoing construction works and the progress recorded so far.
Following the briefing, the team embarked on a guided tour of the permanent site, led by the Director of Physical Planning and Works, Engr. Mas’ud Aliyu Yerima. The tour provided the TETFund team with an opportunity to inspect TETFund-supported facilities and ongoing projects across the University.
Among the projects inspected were the Postgraduate School, University Central Library, The Faculty of Aviation Management, The ICT Hub and the African Institute of Air and Space Law, where the team assessed the progress of the respective works.
During the inspection, the monitoring team observed the ongoing works and provided recommendations aimed at improving project implementation and ensuring that the projects meet the required standards.
The evaluation and monitoring exercise forms part of TETFund’s oversight and project monitoring responsibilities, providing an opportunity to assess progress, identify areas requiring attention and support the effective implementation of development projects across beneficiary institutions.
The visit further reflects the continued collaboration between AAAU and TETFund towards the development of the University’s infrastructure and the establishment of facilities that will support its academic and institutional growth that meets world standards.
