The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, is proudly participating in the African Air Transport Convention and Exposition 2026 taking place in Lomé, Togo from the 15th to 19th June. The prestigious continental gathering has convened an impressive array of aviation stakeholders, policymakers, industry leaders, and government officials from across Africa and beyond.
Among the distinguished personalities in attendance are the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, President of the Republic of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, the Secretary General of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), Adefunke Adeyemi, as well as heads of aviation agencies, representatives of civil aviation authorities, and senior officials from leading African aviation organizations.
Leading the University’s delegation is the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, accompanied by the Director of Professional Training Programmes, Dr. Aliyu Mohammed Tata and other members of the AAAU team.
Through its participation, the University is engaging with key stakeholders in discussions aimed at strengthening air transport, fostering innovation, promoting strategic partnerships, and advancing capacity development for the sustainable growth of Africa’s aviation sector.
