Welcome to the Directorate of Professional Training Programmes (DPTP) at the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, a centre of excellence dedicated to advancing professional competence and operational excellence across Africa’s aviation sector.
At the Directorate, we design and deliver industry-driven training programmes that respond to emerging challenges, regulatory standards, and the dynamic realities of modern air transport. Our courses cover critical areas such as aviation safety, digital transformation, environmental management, airport operations, cybersecurity, and unmanned aviation, among others, all designed to strengthen institutional capacity and workforce readiness.
Through strategic partnerships with aviation regulators, service providers, and global training institutions, DPTP ensures that every programme is aligned with ICAO’s capacity development framework and tailored to the African aviation context.
