On July 2, 2025, the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University College of Aviation Malaysia (UniCAM) to foster international collaboration in aviation education and research.

Led by Registrar Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, the AAAU delegation included key academic and administrative staff. Both institutions discussed opportunities for joint academic programmes, research initiatives, student exchange, and professional training. As part of the agreement, it was resolved that AAAU will send five academic staff members to pursue their PhD programmes under the collaboration.

The partnership aims to strengthen academic ties and promote knowledge exchange between Africa and Southeast Asia.
