The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, has been selected to host a NITDA-sponsored ICT Community Centre, a project aimed at enhancing digital skills and technology access.

As part of the project’s kickoff, AAAU formally handed over the construction site to the appointed contractor, marking the start of work on the ICT Community Centre within the University campus. The facility is scheduled for completion within eight weeks.

The handover ceremony was conducted by the Registrar, Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, acmi, in the presence of Hon. Chidi Nwogu, AAAU Governing Council Representative and management staff of the University . Hon. Chidi commended the Registrar and University community for their cooperation and described the project as a testament to effective leadership and collaboration.

The University extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Director‑General/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, for his continued support in driving digital inclusion and technology development across the nation.

The initiative underscores AAAU’s commitment to national ICT development and demonstrates strong collaboration between the University, NITDA, and the broader community.
