AAAU Participates as NATCA holds its 54th Annual General Meeting in Abuja

The Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) today commenced its 54th Annual General Meeting at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja. The three-day event, holding from the 21st – 23rd October 2025, brought together key stakeholders within the aviation industry and Air Traffic Controllers across the nation.

In attendance were the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Barr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Abubakar Ibrahim Kana, mni; and heads of various aviation agencies. Also present was the Registrar of the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, who made a brief presentation on the university and its role in advancing aviation development.

The Honourable Minister declared the meeting open after all presentations and subsequently inducted newly qualified air traffic controllers.

The day’s proceedings concluded with a book launch written by one of the Air Traffic Controllers, marking the end of the opening session.
