The Women in Aviation chapter of the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja held its annual Girls in Aviation Day on Saturday, 20 September 2025, welcoming female students from secondary schools across the Federal Capital Territory.

The event aimed to motivate young girls to explore rewarding careers in aviation.

Seasoned aviation professionals delivered insightful presentations on opportunities in piloting, engineering, air traffic management, and related fields, sharing their experiences and career pathways.

As part of the programme, the students embarked on an educational excursion to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The tour provided firsthand exposure to airport operations and key aviation facilities, reinforcing the day’s message of limitless possibilities for women in the sector.
