AAAU- CDCU Workshop for Delivery Task Team on Government and Ministerial Deliverables

 

 

In alignment with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s directive to evaluate ministries deliverables, the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has taken the initiative to ensure all its agencies are on board.

The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) hosted a landmark event—a delivery task workshop titled: “Step-Down Retreat on Delivery of Priority of Government and Ministerial Deliverables.”

The day kicked off with a registration session, followed by a stirring rendition of the national anthem. Attendees from the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU), and the AAAU delivery task team gathered with great anticipation.

Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, Registrar, AAAU delivered a compelling overview of the university’s mission and progress. He highlighted the ongoing development of the permanent site, underscoring the meticulous documentation needed to showcase the Honourable Minister’s unwavering commitment and efforts.

Adding to the discourse, Ahmed Garba Aminu, Deputy Director of Planning and Research, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, offered excellent insights and constructive feedback.

The CDCU team, led by the articulate Mr. Esege E. Esege, Coordinator CDCU, and the astute Mr. Okunlola Ismaila, Delivery Manager CDCU on Infrastructure and Transport, took center stage with a series of captivating technical sessions:

i. Overview of the Federal Government Delivery System and Presidential Priorities.

ii. Understanding the Ministerial Deliverables for the Federal Ministry of Sports Development

iii. CDCU Delivery Reporting Framework and Templates: High Impact Performance Bond Deliverables, Progress Report, and Project Templates.

iv. The CDCU Digital Transformation Solution: Performance Management Portal and Citizens Delivery Tracker.

The sessions were not just informative but highly engaging, sparking lively discussions among the AAAU team.

The CDCU team emphasised the critical importance of agency deliverables for accountability, problem-solving, progress tracking, and meticulous record-keeping. They also unveiled the eight priority areas impacting various ministries and explained the roles of these ministries and agencies in achieving delivery scores and percentage achievements.

The event concluded on a high note with a robust Q&A session, leaving participants enriched and motivated to drive their deliverables forward.
