The Federal Ministry of Education hosted the inauguration of new Governing Councils for Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education on Tuesday, 1st July 2025. The event also included the appointment of new Chairmen for UBEC and NUC Boards.

AAAU was represented by the Director of Physical Planning and Works, Engr. Masud Aliyu Yerima, Dr. Oyakegha Samuel E. and John Jibrin.

The Hon. Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa (CON), in his key note address, urged the new Council appointees to foster innovation, align curricula with employability needs and uphold global standards.

He congratulated the appointees, expressing confidence in their contributions to Nigeria’s education sector.
