The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) participated in the Third International Conference on Subseasonal to Seasonal to Decadal Prediction (S2S2D), held at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.

Representing the University at the international conference was Dr. Eniola Olaniyo, Head of the Department of Meteorology.

The conference brought together experts and stakeholders to advance approaches to long-range environmental forecasting and strengthen the delivery and application of climate services. Discussions focused on enhancing forecasting strategies, promoting expert collaboration, and developing more resilient and responsive systems for managing environmental risks.

The engagement further highlighted the importance of reliable environmental forecasting and effective climate services in supporting preparedness, informed decision-making, and societal resilience in the face of extreme weather risks.
