The Nigerian aviation sector celebrated 100 years of aviation (1925–2025) today at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. The ceremony was formally opened by the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, who highlighted the sector’s evolution and honoured its pioneers.

The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU) was represented by a senior delegation led by the Registrar, Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of national honours to aviation pioneers and trailblazers, recognising their visionary contributions and lasting impact on the industry.
