AAAU Participating in ICAO Symposium in Canada, Initiates Strategic Partnership

The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, is participating in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Symposium on Non-CO2 Aviation Emissions, holding right now in Montreal, Canada.

On the course of the symposium today the 17th of September,2024 the AAAU delegation, led by Registrar Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi,acmi, alongside Director of Academic Planning Prof. Yahaya Ibrahim Zayyana, Assistant Registrar Mrs. Funmilayo Michael, and Mrs. Rabiat Alhassan, had a meeting with the ICAO leadership.

The ICAO team, which included Dr. Laura Camastra, Chief of Training, Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau; Mr. Jorge Vargas, Director of Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau; and Herve Touron, Head of Training Assessments and Consultancy Unit, warmly welcomed the AAAU representatives.

The meeting between both parties initiated discussions laid on the basis for a partnership between AAAU and ICAO’s Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau, focusing on teaching, research, and development initiatives.

Through this collaboration, AAAU students stand to benefit from ICAO-backed certifications, enhancing the value of their academic programmes.
